My name is Casey Ferguson and I am a certified health coach through the Primal Health Coach Institute. I have a passion for helping women, and busy moms just like me, create better habits surrounding diet, exercise, and lifestyle practices that you can be consistent with and that are sustainable long term. My coaching program is designed to help you lose excess body fat, build and maintain muscle, balance your hormones, and regulate blood sugar. This will promote better sleep, more stable mood and energy throughout the day, and help you to better manage your daily stressors to improve all aspects of your health and overall wellness.

I advise and teach the importance of an animal based diet prioritizing high quality protein and whole foods to promote fat loss, improve muscle mass, and balance blood sugar so you can feel happy, healthy, and strong every day. You will also learn the importance of exercise, what kinds of exercise works best for you, and how to incorporate the proper amount of rest and recovery to move you toward your goals. For years we have been told to eat less and move more if we want to lose weight, but that doesn’t always work and that method doesn’t always result in long term success. My coaching program is designed to cultivate real, sustainable, and enjoyable lifestyle habit changes that result in long term success.

About Me

Hi there! My name is Casey Ferguson and I’m a certified health and wellness coach through the Primal Health Coach Institute. I utilize a holistic and natural approach to losing weight and improving health, teaching women how to manage stress, sleep better, and have more energy to tackle their busy schedules with work, kids, and home life. I specialize in helping women learn the importance of balancing blood sugar and eating a nutrient dense animal based diet to lose excess body fat, gain muscle and improve body composition, increase energy, and sleep better at night. By learning to implement better dietary and lifestyle habits into your own life, you will start to see real sustainable change that will be contagious and noticeable to those around you. Primal Glow Health was born out of my love for health and wellness, and navigating through my own personal health journey - which ultimately grew into a passion for wanting to help other women achieve their own personal goals.

 

While pregnant with my second child, I did not pursue the same lifestyle choices that I did with my first pregnancy, which ultimately contributed to me developing gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia. It wouldn’t be until a few years later that I learned that having gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia during pregnancy puts me at an increased risk of developing type-2 diabetes and high blood pressure in the future. Women are not often informed that developing these two diseases during pregnancy is a warning sign for what could come in the future, and that your diet and lifestyle choices are a factor in whether or not you develop these diseases. Because of genetics, we can be predisposed to a host of different diseases and disorders, but we also can learn how to have optimal gene expression through diet and lifestyle practices to help prevent those from happening. I knew I wanted to do everything that I could to help prevent developing diabetes and high blood pressure in the future. I vowed to learn and make changes in my own life to be healthy and vibrant for my husband and my children, and to strive to live well into my golden years pain and sickness free.

 

I’ve tried many different diets, and have dabbled in multiple exercise programs throughout my adult life. Through trial and error, I have learned what works best for me, and I am healthier and happier than ever. I am an advocate for a nutrient dense, animal based diet prioritizing high quality protein, healthy fats, and whole food carbohydrates. Eating this way has not only helped me to lose unnecessary body fat and effortlessly keep it off, but I have seen incredible positive change in my mental health. I went through a period of intense anxiety and borderline depression, and changing my dietary and lifestyle practices helped me tremendously. Our dietary and lifestyle choices have so much power and influence over our health and longevity.

 

I have found peace and happiness in my own body with the diet and lifestyle habits I've created. I no longer struggle with weight fluctuations, sugar cravings, over eating due to overly restricting calories, and I don't have to spend hours in the gym every week to see weight loss or muscle definition. I happily and willingly choose to eat the foods that I do without restricting or counting calories because I have learned overtime to listen to, and be in tune, with my body to better understand what I need to feel and look my best. After cutting out processed foods, sugar, and seed oils from my daily diet, I quickly noticed a positive difference in how I felt every day. Not only was weight coming off more effortlessly than it ever had before, I started experiencing more stable energy throughout the day, I experienced way less bloating, and my mind felt more clear. I was finally able to experience food freedom, am able to enjoy a night out without feeling guilty or experiencing immediate weight gain, and I don't feel chained to getting in a rigorous workout every day. I’ve learned to reduce and manage my stress levels, have less mood swings and feelings of anxiety, and I am sleeping better than ever (no more waking up in the middle of the night!). I have learned how vital it is to manage my blood sugar and to have good metabolic function not only to lose body fat and maintain weight loss, but how important it is for my anxiety and mental health. Metabolic dysfunction and high blood sugar, as well as chronic exercise, poor sleep, and chronic stress/high cortisol leads to a host of health issues that can have a major impact on daily life and longevity.

 

As a health coach, I am passionate about working with women to help them achieve all of their health and wellness goals to live a life they are proud of, and to be the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves. By learning to implement sustainable healthy diet and lifestyle habits, you can truly change your life for the better. For me personally, it has helped me to be a better version of myself, which has also helped me to be a better wife and mom.
